Houston – November 25, 2014 – An AccessESP rigless ESP conveyance system – the only through-tubing, slickline-deployed ESP solution – has been in continuous service for more than one year since it was pulled and reinstalled for ConocoPhillips in a Permian Basin well.
This project is testing the durability of the fourth-generation system to determine its suitability for producing wells in Alaska, north of the Arctic Circle.
The system eliminates the need for a workover rig to pull and reinstall an ESP, lowering intervention costs and minimizing lost production. Using conventional slickline, coiled tubing, or a wireline tractor, an ESP can now be replaced in hours instead of months in remote wells, offshore locations, and sites with challenging conditions.
“We are pleased with the performance of our rigless system. This validates our commitment to providing the most rugged and reliable ESP conveyance system in the industry,” said David Malone, AccessESP President and CEO.
“We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with the opportunity to maximize the value of ESP wells with significantly lowered intervention costs while increasing production.”
