Houston – May 1, 2017 – AccessESP has installed its Access375 wireline retrievable ESP systems in two completions for a major operator offshore Angola.
The operator’s wells in this mature field have increasingly sensitive economics as they approach the end of their lives. When moving from requiring a rig workover to change out the ESP system to using existing slickline crews and units on contract, the economics significantly improve, extending field life.
It is estimated the AccessESP system will reduce the operator’s lost production time per ESP replacement from months to just a routine slickline operation, resulting in significant time and cost savings. An additional benefit is anticipated to be improved well productivity by avoiding killing the well when using a rig.
“We are pleased with the performance of our fourth-generation rigless system, in use since 2014. AccessESP remains committed to providing the most rugged and reliable retrievable ESP completion system in the industry,” said David Malone, AccessESP President and CEO. “We look forward to continuing to provide operators with the opportunity to maximize the value of ESP wells with significantly lowered intervention costs while reducing lost production.”
