Odessa, TX – April 17, 2014 – An Artificial Lift Company (ALC) rigless ESP system that was successfully pulled from and reinstalled in a ConocoPhillips West Texas well has been in continuous service for more than 180 days. This project is testing the durability of the fourth-generation system and hence its suitability for producing wells in Alaska, north of the Arctic Circle.
This unique, through-tubing, slickline-conveyed system is compatible with industry-standard surface and downhole hardware. it reduces operating costs at remote wells, offshore locations, and sites with challenging conditions by eliminating the need for a workover rig.
“ConocoPhillips is committed to supporting new and innovative technological solutions for oil and gas recovery,” said David Malone, ALC President & CEO. “Production gains and significantly lower intervention costs can be achieved with our rigless ESP technology.”
