AccessESP Announces New Project Offshore Angola
Houston – July 20, 2016 – AccessESP has shipped equipment in preparation for a significant project commencing Q4-2016/Q1-2017 with a major operator offshore Angola. The operator’s wells in this region are approaching the end of their productive lives and consequently their value is highly sensitive to the economics of rig based workover. The operator is looking for a solution to economically retrieve and replace ESPs without a rig, thereby extending the economic life of the field.
The AccessESP rigless ESP conveyance system will eliminate the need to bring in a rig for a full tubing pull workover. It is estimated the AccessESP system will reduce the operator’s lost production time per ESP replacement from three months to just two weeks, resulting in significant time and cost savings. An additional benefit is anticipated to be improved well productivity by avoiding a killing operation required when using a rig.
